I got bit on my face last week. It’s still red and itchy and swollen. I’m guessing it’s a spider bite. How much longer before it starts to get better? It’s been about six days now. It’s not getting worse, just not clearing up.

ok i’ve been eating mustard all my life and now suddenly i had an allergic action by several painfull spots on my toungue. How come i didnt have it wen i first ate mustard wen i was a kid? Is this only a temporary reaction, like will i be able to eat mustard again.

I’m a very fair-skinned person and got a lot of sunburn this past Saturday. Most of it is mild or the type that might peel a little, but my left shoulder I MUST have forgotten to put sunscreen on because I woke up this morning with a bunch of blisters! I know the best thing to do is try to keep these blisters intact for as long as possible, but I was just wondering how long it’ll be before they heal.

I was at the beach yesterday and it seems that there were so many biting gnats in our area. I got bitten about 10 times around my arms. These bites are more lingering than mosquito bites, where they seem to go away after one day… Can you help me?

My grandmother has broken her upper arm. The surgeon says because of the severe osteoporosis she will not heal. This is the second break in the same place and the last time it took 9 months and weird devices to heal the break. They can’t do general anesthetics because of allergies and won’t put pins or plates in because the doc says it will just break the bone more.

She is currently in your average arm sling and a special brace and has been instructed not to move the arm at all. She is not compliant at all and continues to use the arm whenever not directly supervised. She has mild to moderate dementia. I have bandaged her hand directly to her chest to prevent movement but she still manages to move it.

I need a way to prevent her from moving the limb when she is not supervised. Can the elbow and shoulder be completely immobilized in a special sling or brace? Should we just bandage the arm directly to her side? Help I am at a loss here.

Let’s say someone falls down and breaks a small bone… like in the wrist. For whatever reason the person decides not to seek medical help, even though he/she is in severe pain.

My questions are:

Would this possibly cause a high fever?

and if so, how long after the bone is broken might the person get ill?

My baby is due for her immunizations soon and I’m curious about this as her daddy did not have immunizations because he was a sick baby and allergic to dairy and peanuts. He also has bad allergies and asthma.
